*Attendance policy:

2 unexcused absences will result in removal from the group.

2 unexcused tardies is the same as 1 unexcused absence.

A parent note does not validate a bad excuse & a parent note is not needed to validate a good excuse.

Excessive absences, excused or unexcused may result in removal from the group

*Bring all needed items to rehearsal(music, costume, props, etc.).

*Arrival early to rehearsals (15 min.) to assist with set up and to warm-up.

*Assist with tear down following rehearsal.

*Memorize/practice music and choreography outside of rehearsal.

Costume

*Fee of $100. The lowest fee of groups we compete with is $250. Most are $1000 or more. With parental help and the support of Friends of Music we can make this work. We will need help with sewing, construction, props, etc. so that we can be competitive. If you cannot afford this amount, see Mr. Philgreen. This will be kept in the strictest confidence. This fee needs to be paid by our September 11 rehearsal.

*Men will need to purchase black shoes. This year we will all be wearing the same shoe, probably a black jazz shoe (approx. $28).

*Women will need to purchase tan character shoes 1 1/2 heel. This is what our show choirs have used in the past. Cost - approx. $20. They will also need to purchase jewelry (earrings, necklace?) approx. $15.

*We go to a lot of work to create a uniform look (costumes, shoes, jewelry, etc.), any body piercings, body painting, hair color, hair style, etc. that draws undue attention to a student may need to be altered or the student may not perform.

*Womens hair and make-up-We will have specific guidelines for hair and make-up. Generally, this means a glamour look with big hair using hot rollers and stage make-up. We will determine specific colors of make-up. We will have a hair/make-up session where parents will be encouraged to attend.

*Men will wear make-up. This is not to the same extent as the women but enough so that faces have color on stage. Hair needs to be clean cut. Gel is not a substitute for clean cut hair. We will let you know if a hair cut is needed before performance.
